About Us

The Independent Financial Professionals Association (IFPA) is a leading not-for-profit association of Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs) in India.

Founded in Chennai in 2013 by a group of energetic MFDs, IFPA has grown to have about 430 members to date. The association places a strong focus on maintaining high standards of professional ethics and business integrity. The members work together to steer and build a strong reputation for the community, and we are proud to have entered 11th year.

IFPA has entered into a partnership with the Federation of Independent Financial Advisors (FIFA), one of India's largest associations, to work together in knowledge enrichment by mutually sharing their platforms. This relationship is cherished and considered a prestigious movement.

The core objectives of IFPA

To empower and enhance MFDs' knowledge and skills beyond the mandatory certification, To ensure and educate its members to observe high standards of honesty and integrity, To promote the value of professional financial advice incidental to distribution, To help members appreciate the needs of their clients and provide appropriate financial solutions.

IFPA has achieved several milestones, including;

Conducting two annual events with over 350 delegates in Chennai

Conducting monthly knowledge meets continuously, reaching 114 and counting

Receiving the runner-up award from Financial Freedom Fraternity (FFF) for Metro-level most influential association in 2020.

Successfully expanding its geographical presence in imparting knowledge to MFDs in places like Salem, Coimbatore, and Vellore by conducting knowledge meets

Received the Influential Community Developer & MFD Association 2023 award for its continuous contribution to the wealth management and mutual fund industry at the 4th FFF Conference conducted in association with Economic Times in Mumbai.

Received AAFM Catalyst Award.
